Birmingham New Hospitals Project, Acute and Mental Health PFI
2002 – 2005
At £535m and1,247 acute beds in new and retained buildings, the largest health project outside London includes a patient hotel, RCDM education HQ /hotel & University of Birmingham education /research facility. 206 acute mental health beds are also provided in 3 locality units.
New Hospitals Development Manchester PFI
2001 – 2004
A £400m redevelopment of the Central Manchester site to provide a 393 bed Children’s Hospital, a Women’s Hospital, Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, and 758 adult and mental health beds in the Manchester Royal Infirmary.
Riverside Building, University Hospital Lewisham PFI
2002 – 2006
A £47m PFI development of a 7 storey new building on the teaching hospital site providing inpatient beds; critical care; day case theatre and endoscopy, linked to the existing hospital.
Selby War Memorial Hospital PFI PFI trust advisor

A £23m, 60 bed intermediate care unit on the existing site, with outpatients, minor injuries, diagnostic and therapy services.
Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Hadfield Wing PFI

£23m new build unit of 6 medical wards with Isolation, on call and overnight stay, and supporting FM and admin accommodation
Birmingham City ACAD PFI
2001 – 2005
At £26m and 12,000 square metres, the first purpose designed and built PFI ambulatory care centre, including six ambulatory theatres.
Farnham Community Hospital PFI trust advisor
2000 – 2002
An £8m, 84 bed community hospital with full diagnostic and therapy support, and a GP consultation and minor surgery facility.
Neath Port Talbot Local Hospital PFI
1997 – 2001
A £60m, 230 bed acute hospital and 44 bed mental health unit providing acute admissions, elective surgery, 24 hour local accident centre, outpatients, paediatrics, rehab and diagnostics.
Princess Royal University Hospital, Bromley PFI
1996 – 2000
A £118m acute hospital providing A&E, minor injuries, oncology, diabetes, maternity, paediatrics, and mental health services, and a “stand alone” day treatment centre.
Hairmyres Hospital, East Kilbride PFI
1995 – 1998
A £67m replacement hospital with 364 acute and 52 day case beds, supporting services including PACS and cardiac catheterisation.
